Levels strategy
All elements in Revit are associated to a level, they are the base for all modeling.

- Define the levels that are crucial for design and construction.
- I recommend using just one level per floor that refers to the finish level.
- Sometimes you must have a structural level and a lower-face structural level.
- When using multiple levels, defining the main levels will be important for hiding or not exporting them after (to IFC, for example).
- Strive to keep the number of levels to a minimum.
- Create a level schedule to easily manage and update level information.
Grid strategy
- Do not use pick lines, draw straight lines instead.
- Use dimensions to lock specific distances.
- If grids are shared between files, consider creating a Coordination file where they are defined and using the Copy/Monitor tool
